The WSC took place in Warsaw, Poland, from 12 to 16 October. The Scottish team did sufficiently well to gain a fifth player for the next WSC in 2013.
Their final positions were : Helen Gipson 18th (top female player), Neil Scott 19th, Allan Simmons 30th, Simon Gillam 58th.
